Step‑by‑Step Guide to Vial Injection

Create a safe environment

Wash your hands carefully and prepare a clean surface. Gather your vial, syringe, alcohol swabs, and a disposal container. Choose a quiet space where you will not be interrupted.

Check and prepare your medication
Remove the vial from the refrigerator and confirm the label, dosage, and expiration date. Uncap the vial and clean the rubber top with an alcohol swab before drawing your dose.
Measure with accuracy

Insert the syringe into the vial and draw the prescribed amount. Tap the syringe gently to move air bubbles upward, then expel them until only liquid remains.

  • 0.15 = 15 on pen
  • 0.20 = 20 on pen
  • 0.30 = 30 on pen
  • 0.50 = 50 on pen
Always match the prescription number to the dial or syringe markings for precision.
Select the right area
Subcutaneous injections are most commonly given in the abdomen (two inches away from the belly button) or in the thighs. Clean the site with an alcohol swab and allow it to dry completely before injecting.

Technique matters
Pinch a fold of skin, insert the needle at a 90° angle to the surface of the skin, and depress the plunger slowly until the syringe is empty. Count to five before withdrawing the needle at the same angle.
Do not wiggle or change angles during injection.
Finish safely
Do not rub or massage the site. Rotate injection sites to avoid irritation. Recap the needle and dispose of it in a biohazard container. Return peptides to the refrigerator immediately.

Tips to Avoid Bruising

Bruising can occur, especially if the technique is poor or if you are on blood thinners. Keep your hand steady, avoid switching mid‑injection, and never change angles while the needle is inserted.
